Physical Cosmology
Physical cosmology is the branch of astronomy that deals with the study of the large-scale structure and dynamics of the universe. It seeks to understand the origins, evolution, and eventual fate of the universe as a whole, including the distribution of galaxies, the formation of stars and galaxies, and the nature of dark matter and dark energy. Physical cosmologists use a combination of observational data from telescopes and theoretical models based on the laws of physics to develop our current understanding of the universe on its largest scales.
