Pediatric Neonatal Nursing
Pediatric neonatal nursing involves providing specialized care to newborn infants who are born prematurely, have birth defects, or are experiencing other health complications. Nurses in this field are trained to assess, monitor, and provide treatment to newborns in critical condition, often working in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) to ensure the best possible outcomes for these vulnerable patients. They must have a strong understanding of neonatal physiology and development, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with parents and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care for their patients.
