Ophthalmological refers to the branch of medicine that deals with the anatomy, physiology, and diseases of the eye. It involves the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various eye-related conditions, including but not limited to refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinal disorders. Ophthalmologists are specialized medical doctors who are trained to provide comprehensive eye care, perform eye surgeries, and prescribe corrective lenses and medications to improve and maintain eye health.
