Operating System
An operating system is a software program that serves as the intermediary between computer hardware and the various applications that run on the computer. It manages the computer's memory, processes, and all other resources, allowing users to interact with the computer and run programs efficiently. The operating system also provides a user interface, such as a graphical user interface (GUI), that allows users to interact with the computer easily. Additionally, the operating system handles tasks such as file management, security, and system updates. It is an essential component of any computer system, without which the computer would not be able to function.
