Operating Lease

An operating lease is a contract that allows one party to use and operate an asset owned by another party for a specified period of time. The lessee makes regular payments to the lessor for the use of the asset, but does not take ownership of the asset at the end of the lease term. Operating leases are typically used for short-term rental of assets such as equipment, vehicles, or real estate, and do not involve a transfer of ownership rights.
