Olympic Wrestling
Olympic Wrestling is a combat sport that involves two competitors grappling with each other in an attempt to gain control and ultimately pin their opponent to the mat. The sport is divided into two styles: Greco-Roman, where wrestlers are not allowed to use their legs for offensive moves, and freestyle, which allows for both upper and lower body techniques. Matches are typically scored based on takedowns, reversals, and exposure of an opponent's back to the mat. Olympic Wrestling has been a part of the modern Olympic Games since its inception in 1896.
