Oligodendrocyte
Oligodendrocytes are a type of neuroglia found in the central nervous system responsible for producing myelin, a fatty substance that insulates and protects axons. These cells play a crucial role in facilitating efficient neural communication by wrapping around axons to form multiple layers of myelin sheath.
