Northern Waterthrush
The Northern Waterthrush is a small songbird that belongs to the New World warbler family. It is known for its olive-brown upperparts, white underparts with dark streaking, a white eyebrow stripe, and pink legs. This bird can be found in marshes, wetlands, and stream edges throughout North America during the breeding season, and migrates to Central and South America for the winter. The Northern Waterthrush feeds on insects, small invertebrates, and occasionally fruits. Its distinctive loud, ringing song can be heard in its breeding habitat, where it builds a cup-shaped nest on the ground or in low vegetation.
