Northern Lanternshark
The Northern Lanternshark is a species of shark belonging to the family Etmopteridae. It is characterized by its slender body, large eyes, and bioluminescent organs called photophores along its belly and fins. This shark is found in the cold, deep waters of the North Atlantic Ocean, typically at depths ranging from 200 to 1,000 meters. The Northern Lanternshark feeds on small fish and invertebrates, using its sharp teeth to capture prey. It is a relatively small shark, reaching lengths of up to 60 cm.
