Neoclassicists
Neoclassicists are artists, writers, architects, and thinkers who drew inspiration from the art and culture of ancient Greece and Rome. They sought to revive the ideals of classical antiquity in their work, emphasizing order, symmetry, and rationality. Neoclassicists often incorporated classical themes, motifs, and forms into their creations, rejecting the extravagant ornamentation of the preceding Baroque and Rococo styles. This movement emerged in the 18th century as a reaction against the perceived excesses of the Baroque and Rococo periods, and it influenced a wide range of disciplines, from painting and sculpture to literature and architecture.
