Necturus Diet
The diet of Necturus primarily consists of small aquatic invertebrates such as insects, crustaceans, mollusks, and worms. These aquatic salamanders are opportunistic feeders, preying on whatever food sources are available in their freshwater habitats. Necturus species are also known to consume small fish and amphibians when given the opportunity.
