Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa was a Catholic nun and missionary who dedicated her life to serving the poor and sick in the slums of Calcutta, India. She founded the Missionaries of Charity, a religious congregation that runs hospices and homes for people with terminal illnesses, leprosy, and HIV/AIDS. Mother Teresa was known for her compassion, humility, and selflessness, and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her humanitarian work.
