Molecule
A molecule is a group of two or more atoms held together by chemical bonds. Molecules can be made up of atoms of the same element, such as in the case of oxygen gas (O2), or atoms of different elements, such as in the case of water (H2O). Molecules can vary greatly in size and complexity, from simple diatomic molecules to large, complex organic molecules like proteins and DNA. Molecules play a crucial role in all aspects of chemistry and biology, serving as the building blocks of matter and participating in countless chemical reactions and biological processes.
