Micelles

A micelle is a small spherical structure formed by surfactant molecules in a solution. These molecules have a hydrophilic (water-attracting) head and a hydrophobic (water-repelling) tail, which causes them to arrange themselves in a way that the hydrophobic tails cluster together in the center of the sphere, while the hydrophilic heads face outward, interacting with the surrounding solvent. Micelles are commonly found in biological systems and are used in various industrial applications, such as in the formulation of soaps and detergents.
