A metal lathe operator is skilled in operating a metal lathe machine, which is used to shape and cut metal pieces to precise specifications. This individual is responsible for setting up the machine, selecting the appropriate cutting tools, adjusting the speed and feed rate, and monitoring the machining process to ensure the finished product meets the required dimensions and quality standards.
