Medially

Medially refers to a position, direction, or structure that is located toward or closer to the midline of the body or a specific reference point. This term is commonly used in anatomy to describe the relative position of organs, tissues, or structures in relation to the center of the body or a specific anatomical landmark. In medical terminology, medial is often used to indicate the side of a structure that is closer to the midline or center of the body, as opposed to lateral, which refers to the side that is farther away from the midline.
