Lymphoblastic

Lymphoblastic refers to a type of leukemia that affects the lymphoid cells, which are a type of white blood cell. This form of leukemia is characterized by the rapid growth of immature lymphoblasts in the bone marrow and blood. Lymphoblastic leukemia can be further classified as either acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) or chronic lymphoblastic leukemia (CLL), depending on the speed of progression and the maturity of the affected cells. Treatment for lymphoblastic leukemia often involves chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and stem cell transplantation.
