Korean Language Writing System

The Korean Language Writing System refers to the unique script used to write the Korean language. It consists of a combination of Hangul (a phonetic alphabet) and Hanja (Chinese characters), with Hangul being the primary script used in modern Korean writing. Hangul is made up of 24 letters, including 14 consonants and 10 vowels, that are combined to form syllabic blocks. This writing system was created in the 15th century by King Sejong the Great and a group of scholars with the goal of increasing literacy among the Korean people. Today, Hangul is praised for its simplicity and scientific design, making it one of the most efficient writing systems in the world.
