Karaite Judaism

Karaite Judaism is a Jewish religious movement that rejects the Oral Torah as a source of divine authority, placing sole emphasis on the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) for guidance in religious practice and law. Karaite Jews adhere strictly to the literal interpretation of the scriptures and do not follow the rabbinic traditions or interpretations found in mainstream Judaism. Karaite Judaism originated in the early medieval period and has distinct customs and practices that set it apart from other Jewish denominations.
