It is known for being the time when dinosaurs dominated the Earth, with iconic species such as the Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus rex roaming the land. The Jurassic Era also saw the evolution of early mammals, birds, and flowering plants. The climate during this time was warm and humid, with lush forests covering much of the planet. Major geological events, such as the breakup of the supercontinent Pangaea and the opening of the Atlantic Ocean, occurred during the Jurassic Era.
