Javelin Throw
Javelin throw is a track and field event where athletes compete to throw a spear-like object, known as a javelin, as far as possible. The javelin is typically made of metal or fiberglass and has a pointed tip at one end. Athletes must use a running approach to build momentum before releasing the javelin with a overhand throw. The distance thrown is measured from the point where the javelin first hits the ground to the marking closest to that point. Javelin throw requires a combination of strength, technique, and precision to achieve maximum distance.
