Japanese Government
The Japanese Government refers to the system of governance in Japan, which is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary government. The government is headed by the Emperor of Japan, who serves as a ceremonial figurehead with limited powers, while the Prime Minister is the head of government and holds executive authority. The government is divided into three branches: the executive branch, which includes the Prime Minister and the Cabinet; the legislative branch, which is the bicameral National Diet consisting of the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors; and the judicial branch, which is independent of the other branches. The Japanese Government is responsible for making and implementing laws, managing public services, conducting foreign relations, and ensuring the well-being of its citizens.
