James Webb Space Telescope

The James Webb Space Telescope is a large, space-based observatory that is set to be launched by NASA in the near future. It is designed to be the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope and will have a much larger primary mirror, allowing it to observe the universe in greater detail and with more sensitivity. The James Webb Space Telescope will be used to study a wide range of astronomical phenomena, from the formation of the first galaxies to the atmospheres of exoplanets. It is named after James E. Webb, a former NASA administrator who played a key role in the Apollo program.
