Italian Alphabet
The Italian Alphabet consists of 21 letters, with the addition of five letters with diacritics (à, è, ì, ò, ù) for a total of 26 characters. It is based on the Latin alphabet and does not include the letters J, K, W, X, or Y. The letters are pronounced following specific phonetic rules, with each letter having a single sound associated with it. The Italian Alphabet is used to write the Italian language, as well as other languages spoken in Italy such as Friulian, Occitan, and Sardinian.
