Islamic Sufism
Islamic Sufism is a mystical tradition within Islam that focuses on seeking a personal, direct experience of the divine. Practitioners of Islamic Sufism, known as Sufis, engage in spiritual practices such as meditation, chanting, and dancing in order to deepen their connection to Allah. Sufism emphasizes the importance of spiritual development, inner purification, and selflessness in order to attain a state of enlightenment and unity with the divine. Sufis often follow the teachings of a spiritual guide, or Sufi master, in order to progress on their spiritual path.
