Islamic Finance

Islamic Finance refers to the financial activities and transactions that adhere to Islamic principles and laws, known as Shariah. These principles prohibit the payment or receipt of interest (riba), as well as investing in businesses that are considered haram, or forbidden, such as those involved in alcohol, gambling, or pork products. Instead, Islamic finance promotes risk-sharing, ethical investing, and supporting the well-being of the community. Some common Islamic financial products include Islamic bonds (sukuk), Islamic mortgages (ijara), and Islamic mutual funds.
