Ionic Greek
Ionic Greek refers to a dialect of the Greek language that was spoken in the eastern part of ancient Greece, particularly in Ionia and the Aegean islands. It is characterized by certain linguistic features, such as the use of the letter eta for the long "e" sound and the letter omega for the long "o" sound. Ionic Greek was also known for its literary significance, as many famous ancient Greek writers, including Homer and Herodotus, wrote in this dialect.
