International Date Line
The International Date Line is an imaginary line that runs from the North Pole to the South Pole and serves as the boundary between one calendar day and the next. It is located roughly along the 180th meridian, opposite the Prime Meridian, and zigzags to avoid dividing land areas. Crossing the International Date Line results in gaining or losing a day, depending on the direction of travel.
