Homospory
Homospory refers to the reproductive strategy in plants where a single type of spore is produced, giving rise to a gametophyte that is bisexual and produces both male and female gametes. This contrasts with heterospory, where two types of spores are produced, leading to separate male and female gametophytes. Homospory is common in lower plants such as mosses and ferns.
