Radiologic Technologists are healthcare professionals who specialize in performing diagnostic imaging examinations, such as X-rays, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) scans, and mammograms. They work closely with radiologists to ensure that the images produced are of high quality and can assist in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. Radiologic Technologists must possess a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as be skilled in operating imaging equipment and following safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients. In addition to their technical skills, they must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to put patients at ease during potentially stressful or uncomfortable procedures.
