Flash Memory
Flash memory, also known as flash storage, refers to a type of non-volatile memory that can be electrically erased and reprogrammed. It's a key component in many electronic devices such as computers, computer accessories, microphone stands, and mobile phones. Flash memory is often used to store data and programs that need to be retained even when the power is turned off. Unlike traditional hard drives, flash memory has no moving parts, making it more durable and resistant to shock and vibration. It's also faster than hard drives and uses less power. Memory cards, such as SD cards, CF cards and microSD cards are a type of flash memory used for storing data in digital cameras, smartphones, tablets, and other portable devices. Flash memory is also used in USB flash drives, solid-state drives (SSDs), and as embedded storage in various consumer electronics such as smart TVs, set-top boxes and gaming consoles.
