Definition of Exposition as it relates to Writing, Expository Writing, Argumentative Writing

Exposition is a form of writing that presents information, often in a clear and straightforward manner. It is distinct from argumentative writing because its primary purpose is not to persuade but rather to inform or explain. However, exposition can still contain elements of argumentation, as it may involve taking a position on an issue or presenting evidence to support a particular viewpoint. In this way, exposition can be seen as a bridge between purely expository and argumentative writing. It is also closely related to writing in general, as all forms of writing benefit from clear and concise exposition.
