Definition of Data Science as it relates to Technology, Web Development, Server Management

Data Science involves the extraction and analysis of insights from complex data to drive decision making in an organization. It encompasses techniques and theories drawn from many fields within the context of mathematics, statistics, computer science, and information science. In this hierarchy, Data Science can be seen as a continuation of Server Management, where it focuses on using the infrastructure set up by server managers to collect data for analysis. It also heavily intersects with Technology and Web Development in its use of machine learning algorithms, data mining tools and techniques, and statistical models that require the application of software development skills. By integrating these areas, Data Science can help organizations make data-driven decisions and optimize their operations.
