Software Defined Data Center
Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) represents a fully virtualized and automated data center infrastructure where all elements of the infrastructure including networking, storage, CPU and security are delivered as a service. It is an evolution of virtualization technology beyond server virtualization towards the orchestration and management of all data center services. SDDC simplifies IT operations by providing administrators with a central management platform to control and automate all data center resources. In this hierarchy, SDDC falls under Virtual Private Cloud, which itself is a category within Cloud Computing, both of which are subcategories of the broader Technology field. Thus, SDDC can be seen as a more specialized implementation of cloud computing technology that enables users to leverage virtualized infrastructure services on-demand in a secure and isolated environment.
