Definition of State Parks as it relates to Places, National Parks, Campgrounds

State Parks are public parks that preserve and protect natural, cultural, and recreational resources at the state level. They can be found within the Campgrounds hierarchy as they often offer camping facilities. In addition to camping, State Parks may also include hiking trails, picnic areas, fishing spots, and other outdoor recreation opportunities. While some State Parks may be located within National Parks, many are standalone entities that showcase unique features of their respective states. Overall, State Parks offer a chance for people to connect with nature while enjoying a variety of outdoor activities.
