Global Education

Definition of Global Education as it relates to Education, Elementary Education, Environmental Education

Global Education encompasses a broadened perspective and understanding of the world, its peoples, cultures, economies, political systems and environments. It fosters awareness of global interdependence and encourages learners to become responsible citizens in their own communities as well as members of the global community. Global Education incorporates various disciplines including but not limited to education, elementary education, environmental education, social studies, economics, geography, history, culture, politics, and technology. It equips learners with knowledge, skills and values necessary to understand, navigate, and contribute positively in an increasingly interconnected world.
