Cosmochemistry
Cosmochemistry is the study of the chemical composition and processes of celestial objects, such as stars, planets, and meteorites. It combines elements of astronomy, geology, and chemistry to investigate the formation and evolution of the universe. Cosmochemists analyze the abundance and distribution of elements and isotopes in astronomical samples to understand the nucleosynthesis processes that occurred during the Big Bang and inside stars. This field also studies the transportation of matter within and between celestial bodies, as well as the formation of planetary systems. By examining the chemical makeup of space materials, cosmochemistry provides valuable insights into the history and future of our universe.
