Astrogeology
Astrogeology is the study of the origin, history, and structure of solid objects in space, including planets, moons, asteroids, and comets. It combines aspects of geology and astronomy to explore the surfaces and interiors of celestial bodies, as well as the processes that shape them over time. Within the context of cosmology, astrogeology provides insights into the formation and evolution of the universe by examining the physical characteristics and compositions of its constituent objects. By studying these bodies, astrogeologists can uncover clues about the early solar system, the conditions necessary for life, and the potential for resource extraction in space.
