Probability Theory
Probability Theory, as part of Dynamic Systems within Mathematics and Science, studies the quantification of uncertainty using mathematical structures known as probability spaces. These spaces consist of an underlying sample space, events represented as sets within that sample space, and probabilities assigned to those events as measures. This theory has wide-ranging applications in various fields such as statistical physics, information theory, finance, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and decision making under uncertainty. It provides tools for modeling stochastic processes and predicting their behavior, thereby enabling better understanding and management of complex systems characterized by inherent variability and unpredictability.
