Aerospace Engineering

Definition of Aerospace Engineering as it relates to Science, Engineering, Petroleum Engineering

Aerospace Engineering encompasses designing, manufacturing, and testing aircraft, spacecraft, and other airborne systems. As part of Science/Engineering/Petroleum Engineering, it leverages principles from physics, mathematics, and materials science to build efficient and safe vehicles capable of withhedstanding extreme conditions in both atmospheric and extraterrestrial environments. It also involves the development of propulsion systems, navigation and communication equipment, and guidance algorithms for these aerospace vehicles. By building on the foundations laid by Petroleum Engineering, Aerospace Engineering plays an essential role in expanding human presence beyond Earth.
