Animation Directors are filmmakers who specialize in creating animated films and television shows. They oversee the entire animation process, from concept development to final product, working closely with storyboard artists, animators, and other members of the production team to ensure that their creative vision is brought to life on screen. Animation directors may work in a variety of styles, including traditional hand-drawn animation, stop-motion animation, computer-generated imagery (CGI), and more. They must have strong storytelling skills, as well as a deep understanding of the principles of movement, timing, and visual composition. In addition to their technical expertise, animation directors must also be skilled communicators, able to inspire and guide their team towards a shared creative goal.
