Strict Parenting refers to a parenting style characterized by high levels of control, monitoring, and discipline. It emphasizes obedience, respect for authority, and adherence to rules. Strict parents set clear expectations for their children's behavior and enforce consequences consistently. They may also have high academic and social expectations for their children, encouraging hard work and personal responsibility. However, this parenting style can also be associated with negative outcomes such as decreased self-esteem, increased anxiety and depression, and reduced independence in children if taken to an extreme.
