Mixing Boards
A mixing board, also known as a soundboard or audio mixer, is an essential piece of electronic equipment used in audio engineering and production. It serves as the central hub for managing and manipulating multiple audio signals within a component audio system. By adjusting volume levels, equalization, panning, and effects, a mixing board enables audio technicians to create a cohesive and balanced sound mix for live performances or recorded media. Its components typically include input channels with preamplifiers, equalizers, and auxiliary sends; buses for sub-mixing and monitoring; and output channels for connecting to various audio devices such as amplifiers, speakers, or recording equipment.
