In religious education, critical thinking encourages students to examine their own beliefs as well as those of others in a thoughtful and respectful manner, fostering an appreciation for diversity and promoting interfaith understanding. When applied to the study of world religions, critical thinking skills are essential for understanding the complex historical, cultural, and philosophical contexts that shape religious traditions, beliefs, and practices.
