Definition of Education Policy as it relates to Education, Religious Education, Adult Education

Education Policy encompasses the principles, regulations, and guidelines that govern the administration, financing, and operation of educational institutions and programs at all levels, including Religious Education and Adult Education. It is the framework within which decisions are made regarding the goals, content, organization, and delivery of education, with the aim of ensuring equitable access to quality learning opportunities for all students, regardless of their background or circumstances. Education Policy may address a wide range of issues, such as curriculum development, teacher training and certification, student assessment, school accountability, funding formulas, and special education services, among others. It is typically developed through a collaborative process involving various stakeholders, including educators, policymakers, parents, community leaders, and students themselves, with the goal of promoting academic excellence, social justice, and democratic values.
