Atmospheric Sciences
Atmospheric Sciences is an academic discipline concerned with the Earth's atmosphere and its phenomena, encompassing meteorology, climatology, atmospheric chemistry, and physics. It requires a strong foundation in Mathematics Education to understand complex equations and models used to describe and predict atmospheric behavior. Atmospheric Sciences education fosters an understanding of the physical sciences, including the interactions between the atmosphere and other Earth systems such as oceans, land, and ice. Practitioners in this field apply mathematical concepts and scientific principles to study weather patterns, air quality, climate change, and natural hazards, among other areas of interest.
