Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) is an interdisciplinary field of study that examines language use and its relationship to power, ideology, and social inequality in various contexts, including Education, Language Arts Education, and Educational Linguistics. CDA scholars analyze spoken and written texts, as well as visual images, to uncover the ways in which discourse reflects and reinforces dominant social structures and practices.
