Title IX Compliance
Title IX Compliance refers to the adherence of educational institutions, primarily at the higher education level, to federal law Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. This law prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any federally funded education program or activity. Title IX Compliance encompasses policies, procedures, and training to ensure equal access to education, prevent sexual harassment and violence, and provide a safe campus environment. It covers areas such as athletics, admissions, recruitment, financial aid, academic programs, housing, and employment. Compliance is monitored and enforced by the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights.
