It encompasses the understanding of health challenges and health systems across diverse populations and geographies, with an emphasis on social determinants of health, equity, and human rights. Global Health Education is interdisciplinary by nature, drawing from fields such as public health, medicine, nursing, social sciences, and policy studies. It promotes critical thinking, cultural competence, and ethical reasoning to prepare students for leadership roles in addressing global health disparities and promoting health equity. Global Health Education can be delivered through various modes of instruction including classroom-based learning, experiential learning, service learning, and online learning. Ultimately, it aims to foster a generation of globally aware and socially responsible healthcare professionals who are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities around the world.
