Community Based Organization
A Community Based Organization (CBO) focused on education, particularly early childhood education through Head Start programs, is a non-profit or public entity that operates within a specific community to promote and facilitate learning opportunities for young children. These organizations are committed to providing comprehensive educational, health, nutritional, and social services to low-income families with children aged 0-5. By engaging parents, caregivers, and the wider community in the education process, CBOs aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters children's cognitive, emotional, and physical development. Through partnerships with schools, local governments, and other organizations, these CBOs strive to ensure that all children have access to high-quality early childhood education and are prepared for success in school and beyond.
